The Standardization group is a part of the Scientific Information Department of ICRI and its activity concerns: chemical analysis, polymer materials; range adapted to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Economy and Labour and the Polish Committee for Standardization.

The activity of the Standardization group concerning:

• preparation of expertise's, opinions and scientific estimation of Polish Standards which are the implementation of European standards (EN) or international standards (ISO), submitted to the Ministry of Economy and Labour. Those activity concerns industrial chemistry and related industries

• giving opinions of national and European standards documents related to chemistry, general analysis and polymers related to terminology, test, methods, sampling, classification and requirements as well as perform also estimation of actuality of standards ISO undergoing by Technical Committees ISO/TC 47 and ISO/TC 61 inspection every year

• performing and giving opinions of projects of standards for departments and products specification for industrial commissions

• leading of Technical Committee No 141 "Plastics" in the fields of:

• analysing of progress of works operation in the European Committee for Standardization CEN/TC 249 "Plastics"

• analysing course of works in the International Organization for Standardization ISO/TC 61 "Plastics"

• opinions concerning drafts of documents ISO/TC 61 in the range of Committee subjects

• destination standardization projects regions not normalised or revisions

• application to the Polish Committee for Standardization to perform of execution of popular inquires, addressed inquires and ratification of Polish standards

• conducting the secretariat POLLAB Club Chemical Section

• taking parts in the standardization works of the Technical Committees situated in others institutions.
