Sphere of activity:
-
monitoring of consumption of ozone depleting substances /ODS/, creating initiatives to limit and, in the future, to phase-out ODS in Poland;
-
maintenance of data bank concerning ODS production and consumption in Poland;
-
suggestion nation legislation related to the Vienna Convention /VC/, the Montreal Protocol /MP/ and accession of Poland to the European Union /EU/;
-
developing the draft strategies for ODS maitenance and phase-out issues in Poland;
-
dissemination of the knowledge on the ozone layer protection issues in Poland;
-
issuing ODS import/export recommendations to permists issued by the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Social Policy;
-
participation in the national and international conferences and meetings in the framework of the VC and the MP;
-
other activities resulting from the decisions of the Parties to the MP and contracted by the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Social Policy.
