In 1997 the quality management system according to the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard has been implemented in all laboratories of the Department. Selected methods are included into the scope of accreditation, confirmed by the accreditation certificate No. AB 113 issued by the Polish Centre of Accreditation (PCA).
Applying to the above mentioned regulations and norms is equivalent to fulfilment of good laboratory practice (GLP) requirements and condition indispensable for EU notification.

Centre of Competence for Advanced Polymeric Materials of Industrial Importance POLMATIN carried out a project "Utworzenie i wyposażenie laboratorium badawczego nanomateriałów i nowoczesnych materiałów polimerowych o znaczeniu przemysłowym. Laboratorium POLMATIN", which was co-financed by European Regional Development Fund. This modern laboratory offers services to companies of chemical industry (especially SMEs) and also to departments of the Institute concerning research necessary to develop innovative polymer materials.

Research Equipment Skaning Electron Microscope type JSM 6490 LV combined with energy dispersive spectrometer and fluorescence of x-ray, made of IXRF company USA.
